About me
I’m Alex, a holistic health practitioner dedicated to supporting balance, wellbeing, and mindful living.
My philosophy is simple: true health is achieved through conscious movement, therapeutic touch, and appropriate nutrition.
Inspired by Japanese wellness traditions, my work integrates Zen Shiatsu, Yoga Therapy, Strength Yoga, and Macrobiotics to support the body, mind, and nervous system as one interconnected whole.
Rather than treating symptoms in isolation, I focus on restoring balance at the root. Supporting the body’s natural ability to heal, regulate, and thrive. Each session is approached with presence, sensitivity, and respect for the individual, recognising that no two bodies or lives are the same.
This is not about forcing change, but about listening deeply, working with your energy, and guiding you back into alignment—physically, emotionally, and energetically.
Every offering I provide is tailored to the individual.
Whether through Zen Shiatsu, Yoga Therapy, Strength Yoga, or lifestyle guidance rooted in Macrobiotic principles, my focus is always on your unique constitution, energy levels, and current needs.
Zen Shiatsu works through the body’s meridian system to support organ function, calm the nervous system, and address imbalances that may present as pain, stress, fatigue, or emotional tension. Sessions are deeply relaxing while remaining clinically therapeutic.
Yoga Therapy and Strength Yoga sessions are equally personalised, adapting to the seasons, time of day, and your present state of health. Each session is thoughtfully designed to restore balance, build strength and resilience, and help you reconnect with your body.
A Holistic & Individualised Approach
Rooted in Japanese Traditions
My work is strongly influenced by Japanese healing philosophies, which view health as a dynamic balance between yin and yang, movement and rest, nourishment and restraint.
This extends beyond hands-on therapy into lifestyle awareness. Principles of Macrobiotics may be gently introduced, emphasising mindful eating, seasonal foods, and conscious habits that support long-term well-being.
Rather than rigid rules, this approach encourages awareness, moderation, and alignment with nature, empowering you to take an active role in your own health journey.

Zen Shiatsu is a Japanese form of bodywork that uses gentle, sustained pressure along the body’s meridian pathways to balance Ki (life force energy). Rooted in Eastern medicine, it supports organ health, calms the nervous system, and addresses physical, emotional, and energetic imbalances. Sessions are deeply relaxing while also clinically therapeutic.
-
Strength Yoga is a unique style of yoga that combines traditional yoga postures with resistance training or weights.
It focuses on building functional strength, improving body composition, and enhancing flexibility while maintaining the mindful, controlled movements of yoga.

Unlike massage, which primarily works on muscles and connective tissue using oils and gliding techniques, Shiatsu works through the body’s energy system and nervous system. It is performed fully clothed, without oils, and focuses on restoring balance within the whole body rather than treating isolated areas of tension.
